| Abstract: | This study employs a stakeholder theory framework to explain how a group of individuals and institutions cooperated in the formation and operation of a community arts facility in two heritage buildings. From a case-study analysis of the first five years in the life of the Music Centre of Christchurch, this paper describes the circumstances of its formation and examines the roles that key stakeholders played in establishing its identity and its survival. |
