| Abstract: | Some opinions on the industrial development strategy for the western poor areas are as follows: (1) establishing an industrial system with its own characteristics according to the local conditions; (2) making great efforts to develop middle and small cities and towns in a planned way with the present factories and mines as their centres and forming an industrial organizational structure featuring specialized coordination; (3) readjusting the industrial structure with the heavy industry as the axis; (4) In the short run, the raw material products are still the main products at the same time the processing industry should also be developed properly. |
