| Abstract: | The construction in Yangpu area began in March, 1993. Now tow docks berthing 20000 dwt of ships and one dock berthing 3000 dwt of ships have been established with an annual handling capacity of 1.50 million tons. The land taken over for use is 27 square km., among which 18 square km. of land has been leveled. A generating set with a capacity of 315, 500 kw has put into operation. The tasks for the first stage of post and telecommunication project has been completed. As of now, a total fund of 4.2 billion yuan RMB including the investment in real estate in the area has been put into the construction. The projects to start are 106-km four-lane express way from Haikow to Yangpu and ship-piloting project which needs an investment of 0.6 billion yuan. |
