Abstract:There is a wide gap in the comprehensive strength of a city between Shenzhen and Hong Kong and Singapore, the newly emerging international cities, which finds expression in the development scale especially economic scale, the coordination of internal structure, especially between sci-tech, economic and social strengths, the construction of city infrastructure facilities and population growth and quality relationship. Shenzhen is poor and backward in the above aspects. The backward infrastructure has become the factor restricting the social development level. The contrast between population growth and its quality is greater. For reaching the environmental target of modern city and the target of operational efficiency, Shenzhen should, draw close to Singapore and Hong Kong respectively.
