Abstract:By the end of Nov. 1998, Shenzhen city had registered 114.1 billion yuan in GDP, 35.4 billion yuan in investment in fixed assets and 30.4 billion yuan in total retail sales of consumers' goods, up 14.3%, 18.2% and 9.5% (when allowing for price rise) over the same period of last year respectively. It also saw US$ 16.7 billion and US$ 23.18 billion in total import value and total import value respectively. Its budgetary receipts had reached 14.97 billion yuan, up 14.6% over last year. The month-by-month down ward price level represented a trend of tightening currency. Banks had had over 210 billion yuan in savings, an increase of 33.5 billion over early this year and provided a loan of 148.3 billion yuan. It is estimated that the total agricultural output value and agricultural added value for the whole year will be 2.76 billion yuan, etc..
