Abstract: | This article provides the results of nearly 600 Russian entrepreneurial firms surveyed focusing on organizational lifecycle (here as: l-c.) issues. A model of the l-c. was developed including three stages: start-up, growth and formalization (as: f-n). It is found that the development of Russian newly established companies is described by an unusually slow change of centralization and f-n. level when the firm moves from one stage to another and by preserving the owner's control over the firm even after the transfer to professional management. |
