| Abstract: | This article concerns a classroom simulation which introduces students to an economic input-output life cycle assessment (EIO-LCA) method. The simulation uses a simplified four-industry economy with eight transactions among the industries. Each industry have production functions for transactions and waste generation amounts. Students can perform calculations representing purchases of materials and results are easily compared to an equivalent spreadsheet model. |
