ANALYTICAL REVIEW
Language:eng
Abstract:The author of the article considers the problem of unemployment in Europe. The author also considers the reasons of unemployment such as unwillingness to work. The author states that it is frequently claimed that the unemployed are not sufficiently willing to work. In fact, most of those who are registered unemployed - about 80% - are available for work; one-fifth does not want to take up any further employment at all. The paper considers the following subjects: measuring willingness to work, economic policy and its conclusions and provides a great number of tables and boxes on this subject.
