Abstract:Using the motivational language theory (MLT), this study explores online (hereafter as: o-l.) information (as: info) value structure and its motivational communication competence. Identified are fve info value dimensions, i.e. functional, hedonic, innovation, aesthetic and sign, through literature on the subject of MLT. Herein, the multidimensionality of o-l. info is confirmed. Proposed are four o-l. info dimensions: i. experiential (hedonic-innovation), ii. sign, iii. functional and iv. aesthetic. It is also suggested that experiential (hedonic-innovation) and functional info values have significant effects for travel motivation, incl. exploration, family togetherness, novelty, escape and socialisation.
