| Abstract: | Understanding the nature and consequences of the competitive dynamics (hereafter as: c-d.) among firms is a key objective of the strategic management field. This paper reviews recent developments in six research streams (here as: str./strs.) relevant to c-d.: competitive action and response, first-mover advantage, co-opetition, multipoint competition, strategic groups, and regional clusters. There are provided suggestions for future inquiry within each research str., and described opportunities for conceptual integration across the strs. |
