| Abstract: | The article tries to elaborate the major strenths and weaknesses of game theoretic market studies. The predictive role of game theory and, more generally, of neoclassical economics is questioned by the rationality hypothesis and, furthermore, by the fact that most structural variables of game theoretic market models like cardinal utilities and subjective probabilities are empirically unobservable. |
