| Abstract: | Since reform and opening up, China's light industry has made great progress and gradually formed a production system with a certain scale and level and competitiveness in world market, which can basically satisfy the demand of domestic market. Its output value and export volume account for one third of the whole country's total industrial output value and total export volume respectively. According to forecast, the export volume of China's light industry will amount to US$ 76 billion by the year 2000, and rise to US$ 200 billion by the year 2010, accounting for 15% to 20% of the world's total export volume of light industry. |
