Abstract:This paper concerns the role of religion in fair trade consumption. The study examines the consumption of fair trade products and the use of religious beliefs in purchase behavior. The findings show that non-religious people have a greater tendency to buy fair trade products and of the religious people, Buddhists are a bit more inclined to buy fair trade. The results reveal that the link between religion and fair trade is very weak, although the use of religious beliefs as a factor in consumption decisions has indirect influence on fair trade consumption.
