Abstract:The rapid rise in the level of competition has culminated in a corresponding increase in the level of knowledge and its application. This is directly related to the removal of borders between different competitive environments which is further accelerating the dynamics of competition and entails several major implications for organizations: strategic options cannot be limited to a specific competitive environment; strategy development should be a continuously evolving process adapting rapidly to changing circumstances; a formulated strategy should be implemented readily.
