| Abstract: | The market for sight correction products , including income from sight tests, is estimated to have increased from 969m of pound sterling in retail selling prices in 1991 to 1086m of pound sterling in 1992. Between 1986 and 1991 exports increased from 41m to 86m of pound sterling and imports rose from 90m to 170m of pound sterling. The number of sight tests stood at 12,8m in 1991/1992, 800,000 more than in the previous year. Detailed statistics on sight tests, market size, production and foreign trade, consumption patterns, manufacturers and distribution network are presented. |
