| Abstract: | This article analyses various determinants of foreign direct investment flows to developing countries , including political risk and business conditions, as well as macroeconomic variables. Particular emphasis is placed on qualitative factors. The findings indicate that a qualitative index of political risk is a significant determinant of foreign direct investment flows for countries that have attracted historically sizable investment flows, state the authors of the present article. |
