Abstract:Globalization brings challenges for business ethics, since many of the traditional concepts, categories and arguments were developed in pre-modern societies. This paper claims that we need ethichs which exploit economics as the main theoretical resource and which turn to institutions for implementing moral norms. The concept is developed further in the area of business ethics and demonstrated by exploring the case for banning child labour.
