Abstract:This article reviews the relationship between multinational companies, Central American dictatorship and the labour movements of working class covering the 1899-1975 period. This article uses a North American –based United Fruit Company as a case example to gain a better understanding about the historical development of the relationship and the influence that foreign capital had on political regimes in Honduras, Guatemala and Costa Rica.
