| Abstract: | This article suggests that an examination of the emergent role identities in the upper echelons on a new corporate hierarchy can help us to understand the nature of sociopolitical forces. The empirical analysis focuses on a case where Swedish SKF Steel and Finnich Ovako joined forces, but their organisational marriage broke down in five years. |
