Abstract: | Here the author reviews flexible work practices in South Africa using Blyton's typology of functional, numerical, temporal and wage flexibility. Workplace flexibility implications for South Africa labour market and increased use of numerical flexibility are discussed. The article identifies factors limiting the introduction of flexible work practices.
