| Abstract: | The shortage of IT skills is a problem the world over and Africa, as statistics show, is no exception. The shortfall in the supply of skilled networking professionals in South Africa will be as severe as that facing Europe, the Middle East and the rest of Africa, according to a report issued by networking company Cisco systems. South Africa's skills shortfall is expected to rise from a mere 33% in 1999 to a staggering 62% in 2003. |
