Abstract: | This issue contains a selection of papers presented at the conference on "New Institutions and Markets" hosted by the University of New South Wales on the occasion of the XIII Annual Australasian Finance and Banking Conference, held in Sydney on December 18-20, 2000. The first two parts devoted to "Risk in the New Global Economy" and to "Regulatory Horizons" were respectively hosted in September 2000 by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and by the University of Rome "Tor Vergata", in November of the same year. The first two themes turned out to be a good prediction of developments to come: possibly in agreement with the view that the third millennium began only on January 1st 2001, innovative results on risk measures start to be obtained. |
