Abstract: | Crises in firms are in most cases due to management failure; the remedy for a crisis are goal-oriented planning and consistent action by management. This statement is illustrated by examples from several fields of entrepreneurial policy. The leadership role of management is emphasized. Qualified people in key positions and the recruitment of performance-oriented management personnel will better than anything else ensure the firm's future success. Character aptitude is added to trade qualification. Personal modesty, disposition for self criticism, reliability and understanding of problems of others belong to this. |
