Abstract: | Based on a description of significant changes in the company's environment cardinal requirements of management and top management structure are derived. The three basic pairs of requirements, namely progress resp. innovation vs. tradition, self-realization vs. participation, and decentralization vs. integration are characterized as opposed patterns, whose balance is required for a successful development of the company. For both small and medium-sized companies and big companies as well, it is represented by growth strategies and top management structures. The significance of a goal-oriented leadership behavior with respect to successful management and top management structure are taken into account by a comprehensive motivation approach. |
