| Abstract: | This paper presents an econometric model of industrial location and estimates the model for two industries in Brazil. The model predicts which cities will or will not have the industry. The parameters estimated in a full information context represent the technology of production, supply of entrepreneurs and equilibrating error in markets. The results are used to simulate the impact of industry subsidies on locational patterns. |
