| Abstract: | As organizations adopt to changes in environmental conditions and internal needs, they often develop new structures. There are several diverse processes by which this development takes place. Three case studies show that such differences are real - different organizations do follow different development paths. This variation is caused by the differing structures of organizational control surrounding new structures. One of the explanations for differences in organizational developments is the differences in organization and group characteristics. |
