| Abstract: | Electronic data interchange is the electronic exchange of business transactions and informations. EDI provides significant advantages for business, including increased productivity, improved customer service and a heightened ability to compete in the international marketplace. The reduction in paperwork and greater accuracy of data are obvious advantages. The elimination of human processing of documents changes the internal control environment so that existing internal controls may have to be modified. |
