Abstract:A report is presented about a company which lets workers make corporate decisions. It is located in Brazil. Workers come to work whenever they please, and browse through the company books at will. The company's management philosophy is described as antihierarchical and highly unortodox. The key principles are: work force democracy, profit sharing, and free access to information. The company has cut management layers to three. Results are evaluated. Data are presented about profits and the growth rate produced by this unconventional kind of management. Stress management is discussed.
