| Abstract: | The potential influence of the resumption of China's GATT status on the Capital Iron and Steel Company, the largest in China, is: its profit rate of sales of steel products will drop at the domestic market; and on the international market, it will have more opportunities for development in the aspects of sales of products, contracts for international projects, shipping and finance. The paper also analyses the strong points and weaknesses of the Company in technology, products and management, and sets forth relevant countermeasures. |
