Abstract:Most new product ideas are either uninspired or impractical. How can developers hit the so-called innovation sweet spot? They can apply five innovation patterns that manipulate existing components of a product and its immediate environment to come up with something both ingenious and viable. The patterns are: 1. The subtraction, 2. The multiplication, 3. The division, 4. The task unification, and 5. The attribute dependency.
