Abstract: | In this paper, knowledge sharing (hereafter as: knw-shr.) is empirically examined within innovation teams, exploring the relationship (here as: r-ship) btw. knw-shr. and trust. Using a case study based on 4 information technology R&D teams in Taiwan, it is suggested that trust btw. a knowledge holder and a receiver may not exist. In fact, it can be connected by a mediator, although the use of social r-ship in which trust is rooted in both host and visitor's trust of the mediator. Thus, trust may be substituted by the social r-ship in certain specific contexts. |
