| Abstract: | Assessment of managers was in the past a taboo, but this has changed recently. Due to participative management managers feel themselves as part of a team, they become team oriented, and the importance of assessment of managers increases together with other processes of personnel assessment in the 90s. However , the successful utilization of these tools presupposes a certain degree of corporate culture. The article examines the concepts and objectives associated with the subject, describes the formal components of manager assessment. Instruments, such as "radar-diagrams" and "manager-checks" are presented, the impacts and consequences of assessment are considered. |
