| Abstract: | Sustainable development and the livability of urban environments must go together for those areas to prosper in the coming century. As the 1990s propel us toward the next century, it is time to consider once again the coming prospects for cities - not only in North America but around the world as well. Two sets of issues must be addressed as a matter of priority analysis and planning. The issues are linked by the continuing economic growth imperative of cities. |
