The Internet has spawned a user community of several million adepts round the globe, and new subscribers are signing on by the thousand each day. The corporate world in Europe and elsewhere is an effervescene as players jostle for position on the multimedia stage; there has been alliances between and among publishers, broadcasters, film studios, hardware and software suppliers, telecoms operators, cable companies and other service providers. |
