Abstract: | Many corporations are developing executive performance measures that de-emphasize immediate financial gains and tie compensation to long range strategy goals. Some of the most common new clauses create monetary rewards for such accomplishments as developing new products, retaining customers, investing in technology, hiring star employees, and improving the company's public image. By including these strategically oriented measures, directors are signaling that they values action taken to advance corporate goals and long range visions. |
