Abstract:This article examines repeat visits to holiday destinations from an economic perspective based on three types of economic theory models: reputation, market with limited information, and consumer behaviour. A popular Mediterranean tourist destination is used as an example. The findings indicate that repeat visitation, knowledge, and quality are strong motivations for consumer expenditure. Repeaters spend less due to their better knowledge, although preference for quality and sense of place attachment imply a higher expenditure.
