| Abstract: | A set of cogeneration analysis models is presented that integrates the electric utility and the cogeneration sectors. Alternative formulations are used to understand the effects that cogenerations and utilities have on each other in a long-term planning framework. The models show the promise of improving the analytical capabilities of policy analysts and industry planners, allowing them to better understand the complexities and impacts of cogeneration and distribution of costs and benefits if offers. Results from one example study are presented. |
