Abstract:Recently USA business has experienced much change and disruption. It can be slowed but techniques can be developed to help managing it. The forms of changes are different /divestiture, consolidation, deregulation, globalization, unstable currencies, etc./ All businesses, all industries go through business change cycles that comprise two primary phases: a growth and development phase and a turnaround phase. Business changes can be divided into five stages: delayed change, operational change, directional change, fundamental change and total change. Strategies for managers to cope with all these changes are discussed, in the framework of a change model, in order to be able to manage the change cycle.
