| Abstract: | The characteristics of Chinese residents' consumption at the present stage are as follows: 1. In terms of the aggregate amount of commodities, supply exceeds demand, but the salable goods' growth is behind that of consumption demand. 2. The division of residents' consumption levels is becoming obvious day by day. 3.The consumption grade is apparently higher than before. 4.The gap in consumption is continuing to widen, especially in the consumption level between high-income families and low-income ones. 5. There exist the phenomena of "fault" in consumption in cities. 6. Residents' consumption has shifted from being consumption-oriented to being asset accumulation and reserve -oriented, that is, from short-term consumption to medium and long-term one. 7.The proportion of consumption in housing is on the low side. |
