Abstract: | Asia still represents a small portion of Microsoft's sales, Microsoft's CEO Bill Gates believes that he can tap untold wealth in overseas markets. He sees that Microsoft has a change to have an even bigger share of the overall computer business than they do in the U.S. or Japan or Europe. Gates has mapped out a blueprint for making Microsoft a multinational. The model requires only minimal capital investments and other management resources. Microsoft seeks local partners, which in turn train other partners, and the sales network grows. This also helps bankroll independent software distributors, which are openly encouraged to handle competitors products as well. |
