| Abstract: | Macro-adjustment in 2000 should focus on the following: 1. to continue expanding domestic demand. 2.To accelerate structural readjustment. 3.To advance science and technology. 4.To promote the development of the State-owned enterprises. Economic planning should revolve around the above focal points. We should increase investment in fixed assets, promote urban and rural resident consumption, make better use of domestic and foreign markets and resources, further restructure agricultural products, accelerate industrial restructuring, give full play to the role of price as lever, strengthen ecological construction and environmental protection, firmly implement the strategy of "revitalizing the nation through science and technology" and accelerate the massive programme to develop the west. |
