| Abstract: | The present paper discusses how technical changes effect private consumption. This is done by means of an input-output model with endogenized consumption demand. It is found that income does not depend directly on technical coefficients. Such dependence can only be experienced in case imported inputs and taxes or subsidies are involved, and even then income and the consumption effects can be both positive or negative. |
