Abstract:According to this article supply management is not what it used to be. It suggests that savvy supply management can increase shareholder value, but only if you reinvent the concept for a new century. Finally, the article defines a sign of the times: the strategic contribution of supply management is measured not only in terms of cost savings, the traditional metric, but also increased shareholder value.
