Abstract:In this study, the authors show the linkage between business strategy and human resource (hereafter as HR) strategy. Also the alignment of these strategies and its implications for organizational performance are examined using a positivist approach. The testing of hypothesis indicates that the tight alignment and the minimal alignment of HR strategy and business strategy have significant influence on organizational performance. The authors suggest that firms should develop a comprehensive strategy not forgetting flexibility.
