Abstract:An approach is offered to analysing organizations based on two concepts. The first is the shift toward a more dynamic orientation for explaining organizational configurations and outcomes. The second is the identification of strategic decision making as the key link between organizational environment, structures, and effectiveness. Biographical approach sees organizations as evolving through time in relation to both external and internal forces. An organization's biography can be conceptualized as a succession of decision and their consequences. Biographical approach is applied for sheltered workshops and their decision processes.
