Abstract:Among the "timeless articles" from the 1963-1987 volumes of the journal this one /from 1963/ deals with the main characteristics of communication within business organizations. The role of formal and informal, downward and upward communications. Successes and failures of communication are examined. Suitable methods of communications should be selected and made to be an integral part of the manager's and supervisor's job in order to achieve high standards of efficiency and morale. Difficulties may arise relating to the number of men a leaser can effectively inform. The transmission of the reasons behind the decisions is a necessary condition of organizational effectiveness.
