Abstract:The paper argues that if transgenic products (or genetically modified (GM) products) are not in the best interests of producers, do not maximize utility, or are unacceptable to a market's buyers, then companies (such as Monsanto) should cease to expend more resources on trying to enter restricted markets, and turn to developing products that can satisfy all three conditions.
