Abstract: | The Four Modernization program in China. Free market retailing has grown rapidly; retailers now include both individual proprietors and collectives. Between 1980 and 1985, there has been a 600 p.c. increase in retail and service shops. The free market sector in Guangzhou as opposed to retailing in other developing countries.
