| Abstract: | The article tries to evaluate the impact of the revised, 1985 version of the Generalised System of Preferences on the seven most indebted developing countries' manufacturing exports to the US. The author asserts that developing countries' export chances did not improve, despite declarations to the contrary. Distortions in trade have rather intensified. |
