| Abstract: | The problems and new developments at Apple Computer Inc. are overviewed. In its focus with Information Systems (IS) support is presently the production and marketing of Macintosh computers. The company's priorities are presented. A detailed description of the new VITAL client/server system is given. A new deal for serving IS better is planned by a collaboration between Apple, IBM and Motorola, New announcement of Apple include MacOSI, MacODA and MacTCP systems. The company's networking and communications division was expanded into the comprehensive Electronic Systems Division (ESD) which is now in the focus of development policy. |
